Get out your mountain bike, dust off your helmet and head north to mountain biking mecca Marin. I took some time to get to know the newly built Tamarancho Flow trail. What’s a flow trail, you ask? It’s a trail designed so bikers will “flow” downhill with ups and downs that counteract each other and minimize the use of your brakes.
The trail was built in seven months with a whopping 3,000 hours of volunteer work and the organizational prowess of Davey Simon and technical design of Jim Jacobsen. Above all, don’t be intimidated; the flow trail is for all levels. And if nothing else, it’s worth the gorgeous ride into the woods.
